  According to the center for disease control, from 1999 to 2004 there were 25,055 firearm related deaths between the ages of 15 to 24.

  Although an SUV weighs in at about 4000 pounds, a pistol weighs about 2 to 3 pounds. If you take a look at the statistics, from 1999 to 2004 81% of fatalities in the 15 to 24-age range were from firearms.

  Transportation related deaths were 0.8% this equated to 234 deaths. If you are approached by an SUV, chances are it will be traveling below 60 miles per hour. You may have a chance to get out of the way.

  If you are shot at by a 9 mm handgun here is what speeds you may encounter. 1028 foot/second = 700.909 090 909 mile/hour. This is based on the average velocity at 50 yards for a standard 9 mm cartridge.

  We feel that most people would take their chances with the SUV.

  We have yet to see an SUV concealed in a person’s pocket, but yet on a daily basis concealed weapons are senselessly murdering people.
